Background Video & Images on Slider

Hi All, this is my first post so be gentle. I’m trying to add a mix of background video and still images to a slider. Both the video and images have the same aspect ratio and size (1200x800px). The problem I have is that no matter how I set the height/width of the slider or slides, including Auto, the video is always shorter than the images. It’s as if the video reverts to 16:9 ration no matter what? Any ideas how I can fix this?
