Backdrop-filter is right around the corner!

The CSS effect call backdrop-filter, an effect that’s been exclusive to Safari for far too long, is about to be released for Chrome.

Here’s an example:

With this feature you’ll be able to have blurred elements update dynamically like video or animations.
