Automatically delete photos and details based on date

I’m looking or suggestions on how you would go about automatically deleting submitted details and the associated photos from a cms collection.

I want to use a form where users can submit details and photos, and then automatically delete the detail and photos 7 days later.

How would you suggest achieving the task?

What about filtering based on date?

I could, but i want to actually clean up used storage space by deleting flies that are no longer required.
