I’ve been running into an animation bug that, for whatever reason, only seems to be affecting one page. I saw a similar issue on this post (Animations working in live preview, but not published site) but I’m not sure if it ever got resolved.
Expected animation: when a user clicks the a message in the inbox, the panel should slide to the left and the footer nav should disappear. Then, when the user clicks the back arrow, the panel should slide to the right and the nav should appear.
The problem: The animations will work inside the animation preview mode, but when I click the live preview mode and/or publish the page the initial slider will move but the nav won’t disappear. Then, when I click the back arrow nothing happens.
What I’ve tried 1) deleting / recreating animations 2) deleting/recreating the back icon div
Hi instead of keeping it all the way at the very bottom of the page, by not just at 50px bottom margin and call it a day? Actually looks really nice that way.
After some further investigation, it looks like the issue with the nav not switching to display: none is a bug. I’ve notified the team and they’re taking a closer look. I can’t provide a timeline for when a fix will be available, but someone from the team will reach back out as soon as we know more.
For the back button, @QA_Brandon made a video that should help you there.
Hi, @ptrnelson! Update: it looks like the symbol is causing the issue. If you unlink that menu symbol and then change the target on those items it works as expected! See this image:
In fact, you’re not supposed to be able to use symbols in animations. So I’m not sure how this was added in the first place.
