Animating entire thumbnail block

Hi folks,

I’m trying to create a thumbnail where when you hover over it, the entire thumbnail expands/grows.

When I add this interaction to the Thumbnail Block element, the gradient overlay does not expand with it, even though it’s nested under Thumbnail block. You can see what I mean here:
