Animated gradient that doesn't repeat?

I found this dope animated gradient as a cloneable. Adding the CSS for an animated gradient is way more work than necessary nowadays. I’ve just been wondering how I can keep it from repeating over and over as the page scrolls.

Can’t I make it sticky and have the sections, containers, and divs scroll above it? Making it look as if it’s a single, smooth gradient across the website?
