Ambiguity regarding the connection of SSL in the CMS site account

I have a lite individual account and want to buy a CMS site account. I have two questions:

  1. If I buy a CMS site plan and then connect my custom domain to publish my website, does webflow provide built-in basic level SSL so I don’t have to attach a 3rd party SSL.
  2. If webflow does not provide built-in SSL for my website published on a custom domain, what’s the purpose of offering custom domain in the basic plan or CMS plan? Or in other words, if custom domain is available in these two packages, why isn’t the ability to attach 3rd party SSL as well? It is like offering a feature that you can’t use unless you purchase an Enterprise plan.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

SSL is provided and works as long as you follow the instructions provided when setting up your DNS.
