Aligning objects within flex box

I thought if it put two divs in a flex box and set the upper margin to auto it would push that element to the bottom. Clearly I have not set it up correctly. Help!

If you set the Justify to ‘Space between’ it should push the lower element to the bottom and keep the upper element to the top.

Couldn’t get that to work so in the end resorted to grid.
