It would be great if Collaborators could be able to make 301 redirects instead of the website owner. In my case i’ve got a client who has an SEO company doing all their SEO…so right now i need to make all the updates to 301 redirects while they get paid for it. Not ideal
This is an opportunity to make more money, charge them a maintenance retainer fee to make site updates. Otherwise, tell them it’s out of scope and don’t do anything.
No fair enough, there’s opportunity everywhere, but if your client has a long historical relationship with that supplier then its not always an option. In those cases it would be good to hand over that function. Im also not an SEO expert…but i take your point.
In that case I would transfer the site to the client and let them manage the 301 themselves.
